A cold front which brought chilly 5° temperatures to the alps today couldn't cool the enthusiasm of our group of 12 intrepid Nordic Walkers as we started our 10 day tour here in the (Grosses Walsertal) alps, western Austria.
A bus journey deep and high into the mountains took us to our starting point - an alp hut settlement straight out of the story of 'Heidi'.
