The Australasian Nordic Walking Association (ANWA) has been involved with the parallel development of Nordic Walking in New Zealand and Australia since 2005. For the past 4 years its operations have run independently from Nordic Academy.
Recent negotiations however between the two industry leaders revealed that a coming together and joining of forces for the greater goal was the best future course of action. As the peak authority and leader in the field, Nordic Academy has now integrated ANWA and their agenda to further strengthen the presence and the effectiveness of developing Nordic Walking in Australasia.
