To reach our mountain we travelled in a gondola high over the valley which gave views over the spectacular Grosses Walsertal.
Our Nordic Walk started off on a fairly steep trail but we were rewarded with high mountain pastures full of wild flowers.
At the highest part of our walk we saw marmots (furry, field burrowing mammals), fish in an alpine lake and we even played in patches of left over snow.
Lunch was had sitting on a sun drenched terrace at one of the alpine huts and many of us enjoyed one of the best Apfelstrudel we ever tasted.
Being out all day in the fresh air and glorious day and taking in the many views has worn us out - so back to the hotel for a sauna and some relaxation time in the wellness area.
Tomorrow we're going to experience and learn about local and cultural projects topping it off with a swim in Europe's warmest mountain lake.
