Just read a comment about #Nordic Walking in preparation for a marathon. Have a read ...As part of my preparation for the April 2009 Marathon, I have taken up Nordic Walking to put me in the mood, in the swing, in top form while waiting to start running. With a bad ankle, one that the surgeons still want to operate upon, I am still under going intensive physiotherapy on the ankle and while doing this, I have been advised not to run but that I can walk walk and walk, hence the Nordic Walking and brisk/power walk for the time being. Hopefully in the New Year I will be given the go ahead to start running taking it really slowly and carefully. I will like to complete the marathon albeit at my own pace. Any other suggestions? keep running. http://bit.ly/hXiGbW http://bit.ly/fnoGFK
