Mistake #2 (Series of False Beliefs)

Mistake#2: 'Nordic Walking is for people who are unfit and not sporty'

WRONG! While Nordic Walking is an ideal activity to get (back) into an exercise routine due to its low impact and basic movement, it is a fantastic sports cross training activity. Variations of the basic technique such as Nordic Running, Nordic Striding or Nordic Skating are more intense in terms of cardiovascular workout but also more difficult to perform.

Very active and sporty people interested in Nordic Walking as a cross training tool or a high intensity workout need to learn the basic technique first before they acquire technique variations. Have a look at one of our videos about basic technique and technique variations http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZ_K6p_zUdA&feature=channel_page.
