Val di Fiemme is the location of the
upcoming FIS Nordic World Ski Championships for the third time - after already
hosting it in 1991 and 2003. It is a beautiful area and a fantastic venue to
host this global event.
Val di Fiemme is a valley in the
Trentino province of northern Italy, situated and nestled in the Dolomites alpine
region.
Fiemme is famous for its skiing
areas, enjoys a great tradition for Cross Country Skiing and can be considered
the cradle of the Italian face of this sport as well.
The ski jumping stadium in Predazzo
was built for the World Championships in 1991 and contains two hills: a HS 106
normal hill on the left side and a HS 134 large hill on the right
side of the stadium.
The Cross Country Center is located in Lago di Tesero.
The favourable position of the
stadium and the snow-making capabilities guarantee well-prepared tracks
regardless of natural snowfall levels.
